The Lee County Historical and Genealogical Society will present a program entitled “American Patriots” at 7 p.m. on March 9th at the LCHGS Library at 113 S. Hennepin Avenue in Dixon. Laurie Perry,a DAR officer, will tell us about the patriots that sacrificed their lives for the cause in the American Revolution. Did your ancestors fight on the American side? Have you always believed your ancestor wouldn’t qualify as a Daughter of the American Revolution (DAR) Patriot because they didn’t fight in the war? Join Laurie for a presentation addressing the actions that can qualify your ancestor as a Patriot, whether or not they were warriors.
The library is handicapped accessible and there is ample parking across the street. There is no fee and the public is welcome to attend. Please come join us.
